We use an older model of American-made knitting machine known as the “Thompkins.” Unlike standard knitting machines, its key structural feature is that it knits slowly from the bottom up. Because this process places less stress on the fabric, the resulting material has a plush, soft texture and conforms comfortably to the body without any tightness.
Crafted from high-quality US cotton and knitted into a seamless tube (with no side seams), this piece offers a stress-free, comfortable fit.
While the design is minimalist, stripping away all unnecessary elements, it features a special neckline detail known as the “parent-child binder”—a recreation of a 1960s archive design—that serves as a distinctive accent. This detail was a hallmark of the era, designed to prevent the neckline from sagging.
The fit offers just the right amount of room, making it suitable for wearing as both an undershirt and a top.
Packaged in a design inspired by 1960s archives, it evokes the feel of deadstock.
