Taro Okamoto (1911-1996) has long been one of my favorite Japanese artists – many will know him from his piece ‘Myth of Tomorrow’ that hangs in Shibuya Station. When I first moved to Japan I lived nearby his marvelous museum in Ikuta Park. This holiday season COMME des GARÇONS are teaming up with the late artist’s estate for a range of goods featuring Okamoto’s distinctive art.
