This drawstring bag combines nylon canvas and smooth leather. The nylon fabric appears to be cotton, but features leather handles, piping around the opening, and the base. The leather is an original vegetable-tanned material rich in oil, jointly developed by Margaret Howell and a bag supplier. It has a soft texture. The use of nylon as a base gives it a lightweight finish.
*Vegetable tanning: A time-consuming and labor-intensive process that uses tannins extracted from natural plants to carefully tan the leather through more than 30 steps. The more you use it, the more its luster and texture deepen, and it becomes more durable and resistant to deformation.
