The "TANKER" series was introduced in 1983 and is synonymous with PORTER.
It uses an original three-layer fabric developed with the U.S. Air Force flight jacket "MA-1" as its motif. The 3-layer fabric of nylon twill (surface) + polyester cotton (middle layer) + nylon taffeta (reverse side) is very light, with the soft feel of bonding material and the vivid rescue orange of the reverse side. This series is filled with the thorough attention to detail of Yoshida Kaban craftsmen in all processes from cutting to sewing and parts.
It is available in three colors: black, sage green, and iron blue, with a vivid rescue orange on the reverse side. In addition, hardware such as aluminum zippers, snap buttons, and nacelles, which were rare at the time of its release, are made to peel off the paint on purpose so that they will change over time as the bag is used.
The asymmetrical pocket design on the front is a distinctive feature of this backpack. The zipper on the side of the main body allows direct access to the main compartment, making it easy to take items in and out of the bag.
