Taking ‘V.A. VINTAGE’ as its theme, the design delves into the context of vintage sweatshirts and woollen knitted sweatshirts from the 1930s to the 1950s. Using modern pattern-making and sewing techniques, it beautifully incorporates the original functional beauty—such as the cut-out V-gusset at the neckline and the arm gusset structure under the sleeves—which is believed to have been omitted during the mass-production process.
Based on the reverse-weave construction method, this piece captures the distinctive vintage atmosphere within a contemporary silhouette through colours that evoke the East Coast college vibe, a faded finish, and a unique shape characterised by a raised back hem.
