To commemorate Yoshida Kaban's 90th anniversary, we are releasing the “PORTER GRIZZLY BEAR,” featuring the world's first mass-produced 100% plant-derived nylon, which was successfully used in the “TANKER” series.

Every step of production is carried out in Japan, making each GRIZZLY BEAR a meticulously crafted Made in Japan piece.

The main body uses the same 100% plant-derived nylon as the iconic PORTER “TANKER” series, the world's first mass-produced version of this material.

The palms and soles incorporate the “Traveling Map” detail, once seen on flight jackets. This traveling map motif is finished as an original design unique to Yoshida Kaban, expressing a playful spirit and peaceful message fitting for an anniversary year.
Furthermore, this special item features a 90th Anniversary limited edition tag attached to its back.

Additionally, the newly introduced limited color “COYOTE” is a special shade where the calm, subdued tone seamlessly blends with the beautiful nylon sheen characteristic of the TANKER series.

While antique bears from the 1970s onward typically use plastic eyes, the PORTER original GRIZZLY BEAR features glass eyes, the type used in bears produced from the 1940s to the 1960s.
Glass eyes are made of glass, allowing light to pass through easily, and each one has a unique expression. Bears with glass eyes are rare today, as plastic eyes are now the mainstream.
The head, both hands, and both feet are jointed parts that can be moved freely.

The removable brass chain collar comes with a PADLOCK featuring glass leather wrapped around it, engraved with the 90th anniversary emblem.
