Special collaboration between Kagoshima-based "Akihiro Woodworks" and "ONE KILN".
Ceramic cups finished with a coffee glaze made from the extracted husks of Blue Bottle coffee.
The cup is made using the "haideiikomi" method, in which the clay is adjusted to become a mellow mud, poured into a mold, and the mud is spilled when it has reached an appropriate thickness.
The thickness of the vessel and the shape that remains inside vary depending on how the mud is cut when it is spilled and how long the waiting time is adjusted, so no two pieces are alike and each is unique. The design philosophy of Jincup, "to form an irregular shape," is firmly inherited in the making of Jincup ceramics.
The matte-textured Blue Bottle Coffee limited edition version is available in two colors, white and gray, which are also the brand colors.
