These glasses express traditional auspicious symbols with the vibrant colors and pop sensibility characteristic of tupera tupera.
The inspiration for the motif comes from the "souvenir jacket (sukajan)," a beloved fashion item. The illustration, which features a map of Japan as the background and is adorned with auspicious symbols such as beckoning cats, daruma dolls, and Mount Fuji, is based on an original drawing created using paper cutting. The exquisite lines and overlaps, which cannot be expressed digitally, give the glass a soft and gentle appearance.
