With the “Bus Girl” theme and the functional convenience unique to professional-grade bags, PORTER BUS GIRL—marking Yoshida Kaban’s 90th anniversary—presents this bag as a “new classic” that resonates as beautiful in today’s era, embodying the spirit of “One Stitch, One Soul” that has guided the company since its founding.
The bag’s exterior features a deep, lustrous black glass leather reminiscent of a grand piano. The interior is lined with smooth, soft-to-the-touch pig suede in a vivid red, paying homage to the color of the collars and scarves on the bus girls’ trademark uniforms.
The snap closure is designed to open easily by simply flicking the large flap at the bottom upward, and we’ve carefully crafted it so you can intuitively find the right position when closing it.
We’ve also carried over the drawstring pouch style used by the bus girls of that era.
The HANDBAG is designed to hold and carry items such as a smartphone, wallet, a 250ml plastic bottle, and a paperback book. The interior pocket can also accommodate a passport.
The BUS GIRL series is carefully crafted one by one by Japanese artisans.
Die-cutting, gluing, edge polishing, and sewing. Due to the meticulous manual processes—each adjusted down to the millimeter—only “one piece a day” can be produced.
