The "TANKER" series, which has been synonymous with PORTER since its introduction in 1983, uses an original fabric developed with the "MA-1" flight jacket of the U.S. Air Force as its motif. The three-layered fabric, consisting of nylon twill (surface) + polyester cotton (middle layer) + nylon taffeta (reverse side), is very lightweight, and the soft feel of the bonding material and the bright rescue orange of the reverse side are attractive. Thorough attention to detail is expressed in every process from cutting to sewing and parts.

It is available in three colors: black, sage green, and silver gray, with a vivid rescue orange reverse side. In addition, hardware such as aluminum zippers, snap buttons, and nacelles, which were rare at the time, are made to peel off the paint so that they will change over time as the bag is used.

While following the specifications of the TANKER released in 1983, updates have been made down to the smallest detail. In addition, the original TANKER color "Sage Green" is newly reborn in the same color as when it was first released in 1983.
The metal zipper pulls are produced using the pressed method, and changes have been made to the color of the interior zipper pulls and even the specifications of the vinyl pockets. In addition, all 50 models in the series come with an original drawstring made by Porter.
