[Design]
This haori jacket features hand-stitched indigo-dyed sashiko fabric layered with various indigo-colored fabrics.
[Material]
This jacket uses sashiko fabric, primarily used for judo uniforms. This is the most representative fabric in BLUE BLUE JAPAN's sashiko series. It features a durable yet soft finish and a beautiful silhouette. This indigo-dyed sashiko jacket is carefully woven using the traditional indigo dyeing technique known as kasezome, with the thread dyed in indigo. Enjoy the aging of the cotton indigo fabric used as the patch.
[Details/Silhouette]
The relaxed silhouette features a slightly curved collar, creating a modern look that differs from the straight lines of kimonos. The large pockets are positioned slightly lower for ease of use. The indigo color will age and adapt to the wearer's lifestyle. The white hand-stitched thread on the back is called "semamori," and has long been associated with protection as a talisman.
