The “Galaxy Express 999” T-shirts were on sale at the exhibition venue and Filmarks Store from June 20 (Fri.) to commemorate the “Leiji Matsumoto: The Journey of Creation” exhibition. Due to popular demand, the stock has sold out, and we are now accepting orders.
This is a reprint of the T-shirt that was sold in conjunction with the Filmarks-sponsored “Galaxy Express 999 4K Remastered” revival screening last December.
The T-shirt features a large image of Mater, a mysterious beautiful woman who travels with the main character Tetsuro Hoshino on the Galactic Railroad, and is a luxurious item that uses the original illustration by Leiji Matsumoto, with attention to detail and color reproduction. An impressive original logo is placed around the neck.
Inkjet printing is used to create a natural expression of the texture of the period. The body is made of thick 6 oz. fabric, giving the T-shirt a vintage look.
