This MA-1-style flight jacket is crafted from water-repellent heavy nylon twill. The crazy pattern, combining materials of different tones, combines military-inspired ruggedness with BEAMS' signature urban playfulness. While a staple, it stands out at first sight.
Based on the vintage "MA-1 D-type," the details are faithfully reproduced. However, the sleeves are larger overall and the sleeve length is longer, creating a modern silhouette that naturally gathers the fabric. The design is uncompromising, with curved sleeves designed to fit the arm and thick stitching creating three-dimensional puckering. The lack of padding also makes it suitable for long-lasting wear, regardless of the season.
